The WoBo Show: Send in the Clouds
The WoBo Show features a pair of quirky characters brought to life by performers Wolfe Bowart and Xochitl Martinez. It is filled with circus arts, acrobatics, stage illusion, and shadow puppetry. At every turn, The WoBo Show also provides a launchpad for class discussion of a multitude of STEM-related concepts.
For example: when a balloon turns into a bowling ball and Newton’s apples fall upward, it seems gravity isn’t on its best behavior! Juggling plates, balls, and hats sets the stage for a conversation about gravity, inertia and potential energy. A restaurant patron having a strange meal becomes more poignant when the diner is revealed to be a sea turtle. The scene provides an opportunity to delve into environmental sciences and conservation.
In The WoBo Show, theatrical arts, storytelling, and circus skills come together to inspire curiosity about the world around us.
