The Lindhorn Angell Library
Featuring the JoAnn Yeoman Tongret Performing Arts Collection

The Lindhorn Angell Library is located in a dedicated room just off of the ‘Penny Arcade’ of the theatre, and open to the public by appointment and for special events.  It contains a collection of rare, limited edition and popular books focused on the performing arts that have been graciously donated by renowned performer and writer, JoAnn Yeomen Tongret.

The Lindhorn Angell Library has been made possible by a generous donation by Allen Angell and Cindy Lindhorn. The collection has been supplemented by donations from the collections of Howard Allen, Barclay Goldsmith, Dennis O’Dell and June Baxter.

The collection is organized and maintained by the S&S Volunteer Librarian, Dianne Thomas.

The JoAnn Yeoman Tongret Performing Arts Collection contains materials includes scripts, scores, industry magazines, biographies/auto-bio, history, theory/critique, dance, music, writing, theatre, women in the arts, costume/set design, and related entertainment areas.

Many of the books are signed by authors such as Leslie Caron and Donna McKechnie and several are over 100 years old.

Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre is honored to house this special collection library that encompasses over 1100 titles.

This collection celebrates theatre as both an art form and as a factor in a community’s social and educational life, and Tucson’s Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre now is able to offer the community this valuable resource.
