Are you an actor looking to polish your materials and presentation skills for audition season? Join Molly Lyons for this audition workshop in the style of a master class, in which each student will receive individual coaching on slating, contemporary monologues, and Shakespearean monologues.
The workshop is held across two evenings. The first session focuses on contemporary monologues, while the second session focuses on Shakespearean monologues and ends with a mock audition. Each participant will work directly with Lyons, who has a breadth of acting techniques and practical experience from which to draw in order to prepare actors to shine in the constraints of the audition room. Actors will benefit not only from the direct feedback and coaching Lyons provides, but also observing their peers and the feedback they receive.
Participants should prepare their audition package in advance of the workshop; each monologue should be between 30-60 seconds.
Lyons recommends bringing the following:
water,
snacks,
clothes in which you’re comfortable moving, plus an audition outfit on day 2,
headshot & resume

Please note that Molly Lyons is an independent teaching artist contracted for this workshop who holds no sway or decision-making position at any of the theaters participating in the upcoming auditions at The S&S. This workshop is an educational and experiential tool for the participants, separate from the audition process for the 2024-25 season.
